Al-Qabbaj and Khattab sign a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council for Human Rights on "Promoting the Human Rights Process and Capacity Building".

Mrs. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Ambassador Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights(NCHR), signed a cooperation protocol to promote the human rights process and build capacities, based on the role of the Ministry in providing integrated care, development and social protection to deserving citizens without discrimination, as well as its role with regard to human rights, whether It is related to civil and political rights, such as the right to form civil associations, or what is related to economic and social rights, such as the rights of children, women, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
The protocol aims to prepare joint research, organize and hold conferences, seminars and workshops on basic human rights and public freedoms, and study and address social phenomena that appear in Egyptian society, such as the phenomenon of violence, murders and hate speech.
Training programs will be held in the governorates of Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Aswan, the Red Sea, and Minya.
The two parties stressed the importance of exchanging visions on social issues affecting society and searching for the most appropriate solutions to them through spreading the culture of human rights, respect for difference, pluralism, and the principles of citizenship in accordance with the Egyptian constitution, the National Strategy for Human Rights, and Egypt's Vision 2030.
The protocol will be managed by a joint committee of representatives of the two parties that meets at least once a month, provided that it is concerned with setting frameworks for dealing between the two parties, civil associations and institutions as partners, as well as the target groups of the presidential initiatives, in order to ensure their implementation in a manner that guarantees human rights, as well as developing an implementation plan and endorsing it by both parties, developing a plan for announcing and following up the activities under this protocol, preparing periodic reports on the progress of work and monitoring achievements, establishing mechanisms and financial commitments related to the provisions of the protocol, and overcoming any obstacles or problems facing the implementation of the provisions of the protocol.
