The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) welcomes the recent meeting between the General Secretariat of the National Dialogue and leaders of human rights organizations, within the framework of a positive atmosphere that allows for a wide expected participation of human rights organizations in the sessions of the National Dialogue, which is scheduled to start in early May. NCHR affirms that the presence of organizations representing a wide range of human rights organizations to meet and engage in dialogue with the General Coordinator of the National Dialogue and members of the general and technical secretariat of the dialogue gives the dialogue great impetus and widens the circle of participation in a way that gives all political forces and voices supporting public rights and freedoms a real opportunity to put forward Her ideas, especially the concerns of the human rights community in Egypt. Moushira Khattab, President of NCHR, confirms that the outcomes of the last meeting herald seriousness from all parties in discussing all issues raised in the national dialogue forthcoming meetings, because of the utmost importance that these preliminary meetings entail for the success of the upcoming national dialogue.
