NCHR Receives Delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Cairo

The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) received a delegation from the Embassy of the United States of America in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of the Council’s commitment to strengthening communication and dialogue with diplomatic missions and international partners.

The U.S. delegation included Mr. Eric F. Gaudiosi, Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States Embassy in Egypt; Mr. Scott Stanford, Political Counselor; and Ms. Kadidiatou Magassa, Human Rights Officer at the Embassy’s Political Section.

The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed Ihab Gamaleldin, President of NCHR; Mr. Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, Vice President; Ambassador Dr. Mahy Abdel Latif, NCHR Board Member and Head of the International Relations Committee; NCHR Board Members Mr. Mohamed Osman and Ms. Yara Kassem; as well as Counselor Ahmed El-Mougy, the Acting Secretary-General of NCHR.

The meeting addressed a number of human rights-related issues, as well as ways to strengthen communication and exchange views between the two sides on matters of mutual interest. The meeting also underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue and communication between NCHR and the U.S. side.
