Egypt's The National Council for Human Rights in Egypt issues an international appeal to put aside politics and join efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian and Turkish peoples

The National Council for Human Rights - Egypt (NCHR) announces its solidarity with the Syrian and Turkish peoples in the catastrophe that befell them as a result of the earthquake that struck the two countries.

 

The National Council for Human Rights - Egypt has closely followed the developments in the situation in the Syrian and Turkish territories and the thousands of victims left by the devastating earthquake that struck the Syrian and Turkish territories "southern Turkey and northwestern Syria" and the resulting victims, wounded and missing persons, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure and basic facilities, especially In Syria, which has been suffering from years of war, the deterioration of the infrastructure in the Syrian territories as a result of this war has caused an increase in the number of victims (deaths - injured), and the economic and climatic conditions constitute another burden on the victims in those areas, which constitutes a major humanitarian catastrophe, which is what requires the consolidation of all efforts at the international, regional and national levels, to the necessity of a rapid response and the provision of all capabilities and logistical support necessary to alleviate the suffering of the Sulay and Turkish peoples.

 

NCHR, as an independent national institution that works to protect, promote and respect Human Rights, and within the framework of its relations at the regional level and through the membership of NCHR in the Arab Network for Human Rights, stresses the importance of setting aside politics and joining efforts to provide more support and assistance to contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Syrian and Turkish peoples.

 

The NCHR appreciates the call made by Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, during his participation in the World Summit of Governments held in the Emirate of Dubai, in which he called on his Excellency to urge all countries to provide more assistance to the Syrian people in that disaster. NCHR appreciates the assistance provided by the Arab Emirates and the Arab Gulf states to all Arab brothers, but it hopes for more for the Syrian brothers.

 

NCHR also urges charitable organizations, Egyptian Crescent and Unions to provide medical and food assistance to the Syrian and Turkish peoples in their crisis. NCHR calls on the international community and the international system to play its role in the field of humanitarian relief and to provide more assistance to the victims who were left behind by the earthquake, and the need to provide various types of assistance and solidarity with all affected areas without exception and to provide all facilities by the authorities in both countries to facilitate the arrival of aid. humanity to the victims.
