NCHR mourns martyrs in Sinai terrorist attacks

The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) has condemned the terrorist attack that took place today in Western Sinai leading to the death of an officer, 10 soldiers and the injury of 5 others.

The NCHR, led by Ambassador Dr. Moushira Khattab, and its members extended their condolences to the Egyptian people, mourning the martyrs who have passed in the Sinai terrorist attack.

The NCHR stressed that heinous terrorism deprives victims from their basic right to life which was granted by international conventions. The council expects the international community to support Egypt through its war against extremist groups by establishing close cooperation aimed at criminalizing these terrorist organisations , drying their founding sources, persecuting the individuals belong to these groups who are operating in various countries in line with the conventions confirming these principles, and supporting the Egyptian state in its war on terrorism.
