The civil and political rights committee in the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), chaired by Mohamed Anwar El-Sadat, committee chair, held a dialogue session with a number of human rights organisations at NCHR’s headquarters in New Cairo. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Dr. Moushira Khattab, NCHR President, Ambassador Dr. Mahmoud Karem, NCHR Vice-President, NCHR members; George Issac, Alaa Shalaby and Ghada Hammam.
During the meeting, the NCHR President welcomed the heads and representative of human rights organisations, highlighting the council’s keenness to strengthen communication with all civil society organisations, stressing their key role in strengthening the state of human rights.
For his part, the chair of the NCHR civil and political rights committee emphasized that the council is keen to conduct such meetings with human rights organisations that have an efficient role in reinforcing human rights. He added that the council will hold similar meetings with a number of syndicates, political parties and media organisations.
