The National Council for Human Right (NCHR) lauded on Monday, October 25th 2021,the declaration of the President of the Republic to cancel the extension of the state of emergency across the country.
The Council stressed that this aware and courageous declaration represents a key step forward towards promoting and protecting Egyptian human rights. Moreover, it underscores the state of stability and development witnessed by the country, thanks to the wise and enlightened leadership of President Abdelfattah El Sisi.
The declaration implements the National Human Rights Strategy, underscoring the state’s commitment and determination to exert all possible efforts to strengthen human rights.
The NCHR highlights that the steps taken recently by President El Sisi, most notably his statements during the launch of the human rights strategy, represent an unprecedented opportunity and the start of a great phase for a new republic based on grounds of human rights respect and protection, a new republic that the people of Egypt wish for and deserve .
