NCHR holds 2nd round of dialogue with civil society organisations

The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) launched the 2nd round of dialogue with 20 civil society organisations, today via Zoom, under the theme of implementing the national human rights strategy in light of the Year of Civil Society, chaired by Ambassador Moushira Khattab, NCHR President, and moderated by Mohamed Mamdouh, NCHR member.

During the event, the NCHR President said that the meeting has highlighted the diversity of activities and civil society’s enthusiasm to engage in the efforts led by youth to implement the strategy.

The proposed areas of cooperation included addressing population explosion, climate change challenges, the development of the concept of world peace and security, achieving peace in the Middle East, migration and the implementation of the human fraternity document, in addition to capacity building, rule of law, governance, transparency, eradicating bureaucracy and anti-corruption.

The event was attended by NGOs Coalition against FGMC, FDHRD for Development and Human Rights, Egyptian Youth Council, Najma Foundation for Environmental Action, Mediterranean Youth Foundation, Edraak Foundation for Development, Anamel Masriya Foundation, Egyptians Without Borders Foundation, Life Makers Foundation, Ma’akom Association, Fifth Generation Foundation, Egypt Foundation for Health and Sustainable Development.

The participants in the meeting agreed to hold another meeting in a week to present the programmes to be implemented nationwide.
