H.E Mohamed Fayek, President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), stressed that the launch of the National Human Rights Strategy by President Abdelfattah Al Sisi today and his chairmanship of an extended meeting for this purpose, underscores the Egyptian State’s commitment to advance Egyptian citizens human rights.
Fayek expressed his appreciation for the launch of this strategy, being a major step on the right track to develop the national human rights process.
The President of NCHR highlighted that the establishment of the Standing Supreme Human Rights Committee underscores the State’s determination to reinforce human rights through an organisational and sustainable process.
In the end of his statement, Fayek said that human rights is a continuous process, and therefore, the national strategy sets the roadmap to achieving the desired goals in order to advance human rights.
