With deep grief, Mr. Mohamed Fayek, President of The National Council for Human Rights (NCHR) expressed his condolences over the death of the victims of the Sohag train collision that resulted in the death of a number of passengers and the injury of others.
The NCHR highlighted the importance of the continuous efforts put in the development and maintenance of the railway lines to meet the highest standards of safety, and to uphold the right to life, the most sacred human right.
The council also stressed holding accountable those responsible for this tragic accident.
